Overview POSITION SUMMARY: Focus Interpreting is seeking a talented American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreter to join our team in Salt Lake City, Utah. This role involves providing exceptional interpretation services that facilitate communication for deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals in a variety of professional settings. Responsibilities Provide interpretation services for interactions in medical, educational, and social contexts, ensuring all parties understand each other fully Utilize your ASL skills to convert spoken language into sign language and vice versa in real-time situations Uphold confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards during all interpretation assignments Continuously enhance your ASL and English knowledge to maintain high-quality interpretation Requirements Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) and proficient command of English Preferred certification as an ASL interpreter, with demonstrated experience in professional settings Strong understanding of Deaf culture, community norms, and communication methods Ability to work effectively under pressure while ensuring accuracy and clarity in communication Benefits Paid per assignment/per hour. #J-18808-Ljbffr Focus Interpreting
