Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable (AR) Manager with a strong background in real estate and property management, specifically managing condominiums, cooperatives, and commercial properties, including sponsor billing. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with payment processing platforms such as ClickPay or BILT, as well as proficiency in Yardi. This role will be responsible for the day-to-day management of an offshore team and some onsite team members, driving accountability, ensuring timely and accurate payment processing, and optimizing AR operations.
Key Responsibilities :
Accounts Receivable & Payment Processing
• Oversee billing, collections, and sponsor account management for a portfolio of condos, co-ops, and commercial properties.
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of payments through ClickPay, BILT, and other platforms.
• Monitor accounts for delinquencies and take appropriate action to minimize outstanding balances.
• Manage cash application processes and ensure accurate recording of transactions in Yardi.
• Reconcile AR accounts, investigate discrepancies, and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Ensure tickets are processed in a timely manner in accordance with department policies and procedures.
Team Leadership & Process Improvement
• Lead, mentor, and manage an AR team, driving accountability, timeliness, and accuracy.
• Develop and implement training programs for new hires and continuous development for existing team members.
• Standardize AR processes, documentation, and reporting to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and process improvement.
Reporting & Compliance
• Prepare and analyze AR aging reports, collection forecasts, and key performance metrics.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
• Collaborate with accounting and finance teams to support month-end close and audits.
Qualifications & Requirements:
• 5+ years of accounts receivable experience in real estate and property management (condos, co-ops, commercial).
• Strong experience with sponsor billing and payment processing platforms (ClickPay, BILT, etc.).
• Proficiency in Yardi is required.
• Experience managing a team, including training, onboarding, and process documentation.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Accounting experience is a plus; an accounting degree is a plus.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
