Accounts Payable Manager The Accounts Payable Manager is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and vendor communications. This role requires strong leadership and organizational skills to manage both an onsite team member and a remote team overseas, while maintaining compliance with internal policies and external regulations. This position is direct hire and will pay between $70K and $80K annually. Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily operations of the accounts payable function, including invoice processing, payment runs, and vendor inquiries
  • Supervise and support one onsite direct report and coordinate with the overseas team to ensure consistent performance and adherence to deadlines
  • Monitor and improve AP workflows to enhance efficiency and accuracy
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, SOX controls, and relevant accounting standards
  • Maintain vendor relationships and resolve payment issues in a timely manner
  • Prepare and review AP aging reports, reconciliations, and month-end close activities
  • Collaborate with procurement, finance, and other departments to streamline processes
  • Lead system upgrades or transitions related to AP tools and platforms
  • Train and mentor team members, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in accounts payable, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
  • Experience managing remote or offshore teams preferred
  • Strong understanding of ERP systems and AP automation tools
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and time management skills
Preferred Skills:
  • Familiarity with international payment processes and currency handling
  • Experience with process improvement initiatives and change management
  • Proficiency in Excel and data analysis
